Choices Therapy is a is a humanistic counselling practice based on the person-centred model pioneered by Carl Rogers. We provide a safe, accepting, confidential and honest space with a qualified and experienced counsellor, where a person can explore issues that are important to them, and what might be holding them back in life.
Counselling with a trained and experienced therapist can help a person find their sense of self and discover their individual truth; which can lead to healing, growth and change. Change can be a painful process. We can help enable an individual to be able to make changes and grow as a person. Counselling is not a quick fix, but it can lead to lasting change and a greater resilience to the challenges of life.
We are able to work with adults and young adults on a one-to-one basis. We would recommend having one session to see how you feel about the counsellor and approach, then continue the counselling if it feels right for you. Remote counselling via Skype is also an option. We are experienced with anxiety, depression, addiction, obsessive conditions, self harm, relationship difficulties, stress, bereavement and other issues.
We currently operate in Lemon Street in Truro in a beautiful building converted into counselling rooms. Sessions typically last for 50 minutes and start at £40.00 some concessions are available. All therapists are members of the BACP and adhere to the BACP code of ethics.
